I don't know if a propane generator is on a separate line or not but when we first turn the propane on we often have to light a stove burner to get the air out of the system. Hope someone can help you, not too many LP gen sets around.

I'm a new owner of an older RV. I had the same problem. I plugged the rig in and charged up the house battery and problem solved. I can't say for certain that charging the house battery caused the gen to start, but it worked that time!

On my Onan Generator, I had a Mud Dobber build a nest in the vent hose from my LP regulator just be for the carburator. It would fire and fart but would not run. The dealership I bought it from had installed a new LP regulator be for they found the problem. The next year I had the same problem and finally rapped a chunk of old nylon stocking on the end of the hose. No more problems with the dobbers.
