One thing to check is the power connections to the generator. I had a problem with our generator this past summer and had to replace the temp sending unit on our Onan 7500 watt QD. When I was taking covers off to work on it I found the wires that supply power to the coach were loose and all I did was touch them and they fell out. Surprised that they made contact at all but I tightened them up, installed the sensor and all was good after that.

It's easy enough to check and simple enough to tighten the connections up.
