what I find to do is this:

- drive slightly 'past' your slot, until your rear is clear of it, staying in the middle of the lane
- now back up toward the opposite slot from yours, turning very hard, slowly
- as your rear gets close to the opposite slot, your front end is now in a much easier position to 'drive straight into' your slot

let your rear wheels act as the 'hinge' point

for leaving:
when you're backing out, just as you front end clears your outside post:

- turn HARD and let your rear wheels be the pivot point, going slowly
- when you know your rear is near the opposite slot, stop and turn your front wheels HARD the opposite way to then head out...

of course, having someone to help at the rear is always a bonus, but if not, let your rear camera tell you when you are close... don't hesitate to take it slow, and always get out and look if you are unsure. Professionals do... : )

Hi all,

Reversing it in sounds great, as the the front will stick out past the posts I wont have to worry about the mirrors.

Happy days

As I mentioned before, backing in would be my preferred method. When you pull out, don't ignore the back end swing. You want to be sure you clear those posts BEFORE you start your turn.
