Where I store my 2005 intruder we have a 120 v 20 amp plug to keep the batteries charged. There are 4 or 5 plugged in with there main power cord.
I plug in my main plug and the gfi pops. I run a battery charger and air compressor and it works fine. has anyone seen this problem?

You have a power problem within your coach. Might not be a direct short but just a little feedback. Even heating element in your refer of water heater can cause what you're experiencing.

Yes, the sudden load applied to the circuit, often trips the GFI ; be it on the plug or circuit breaker. My first 3, 5ths would not trip the GFI , but my last 5th and , M/H do. Most times you can fool the GFI, by re-seting it with the plug in.

Check the heating element in the water heater and refrigerator to be sure you do not have a filament shorting out to its case. Sometimes it is intermittent and has to have power applied for the filament to bow out and touch the case which will trip a GFI.

Do you have a surge protector?

While I installed mine in my coach it started to cause the house GFI to trip when I plugged it in.

An improperly grounded converter or inverter can also cause this.

You can try turning off all the breakers in the coach and then plugging in. If the GFCI still trips, your problem is power cord or transfer switch. If it does not trip, start turning breakers on until it does trip - then you have found the problem circuit.
