Going off the road

I have been full timing in my rv for 11 years. We have decided to get off the road and settle down some. What I would like to know is what you think would be the best way to sell my RV. Its a 2005 class a LaPalma, Monaco, gas rig. Thanks for any input on this.

In addition to Ray's excellent advice, you may also try adds in RV Trader and/or RVT.com . If you are not adept at taking good photos it will be worth it to pay someone to take professional type photos, the more the better. Be very generous in your ad copy. What would you like to know about the coach if you were the potential buyer. Include the two or three main advantages why this is a good deal (e.g., almost new tires, updates to interior). Most buyers will want to know if you have maintenance records. Hopefully, there is no lien on the coach as that presents a major pain for most buyers. If there is a lien, try to pay it off before you get serious with a buyer.
Best of luck and don't be afraid to ask questions. Many on here have sold many RVs over the years and will be happy to share their advice and experience. If you wish to PM me, do not hesitate. I have sold 4 Rvs over the past 10 years.

Send a message via ICQ to Ivylog
Hopefully you are not in SD so assuming a better place to sell I’d put it on Craigslist at NADA low retail. Lots of detailed pictures help.

Facebook Marketplace is another free place to sell. Sold the Bounder that way in a couple of days.

I've sold by placing the details on a whiteboard attached to the back of a trailer while travelling. People will see it on the road, in Walmart, state/national parks and campgrounds.

I'd guess after 11 years you must already have a pretty good idea of where/how to sell - when you do sell, kindly share what worked for you.

Sorry to hear this Barski. Can you please tell us what made you decide to give it up?
