Good roof clearance lights?
The old front roof clearance lights on my Tiffin were looking crusty and cracked so I replaced them with a set off of Amazon. They weren't the cheapest and they weren't the most expensive, either.
Very shortly after, the new lights began to deteriorate and crack because they are so cheaply made.
Does anyone here know of a brand or source of well-made roof marker/clearance lights?
Thanks and happy TAX DAY

Grote makes heavy duty truck light assemblies and talking with a truck maintenance mechanic once, he said that they only used Grote products. I'm kind of thinking that other manufacturer's products could be just as good but Grote has had a good reputation for heavy-duty lighting for decades.
If they'll fit your application --as it appears that you have horizontally mounted clearance lights-- you might take a look at Grote's school bus clearance lights. School buses need products that will hold up well the the weather, etc. so hopefully they'll be good for a motorhome too.
Hi Count® School Bus Wedge LED Marker Lights
Doing a quick search, this vendor has the lowest price I found:
Front --Grote G5053 yellow
Rear -- Grote G5052 red

Stupid question but other than for visibility, how are clearance lights used?

Go to any heavy truck dealership and spend some money, they will be the last lights you will ever have to buy and remember when you buy cheap, u get cheap!

They are required by law, depending on the size of the unit.

Thanks. Had no idea what they were called before I heard the term. Ater I heard the name, I was thinking maybe they could help gauge whether you can get under a low-hanging object or not.

Good roof clearance lights?
Actually a couple different things … Clearance lights . The outer lights, are used for others to determine the outer size and position ( red in back , yellow front ) of your vehicle at night.
The three Identification lights ( ID lights).. the ones in the middle , identify to other vehicles that you are wide .. as in Over 80” . All required by law on large vehicles.
