Goodyear RV Tires

Sorry, rant here.

I have had just about enough with goodyear. I am on my second set of tires to replace defective tires. Last Thursday they were replaced because the previous set were so out of ballance no one could fix them, they were lopsided!! SO after I get my new front steer tires I head out from Melbourne Florida to Tampa. Short trip, should be no sweat, I get to Tampa and this is what the tires looked like. Now goodyear wont give me money back so I can get another brand like Michelin and they want me to DRIVE to a service center to have them "evaluate" if this is a defect... They can pound sand..

Wow, I would not want to drive it anywhere.

1814 is the code, as you can see even that section is cracking.

Update, the RV Manufacturer called me horrified over the situation and has authorized LazyDays to replace the tires with Michelin XZA2's for me at no charge. What customer service, I am a happy camper over the resolution, but I would never EVER willingly buy goodyears again.. PERIOD!

Goodyear RV Tires

Now THAT is customer service. Kudos to Entegra. I am impressed.

QUERY: Will they send out a mobile swap team, or tow you in?

We were already at the Lazy Days campground, so we just drove it around to the bay. We are up on jacks inside watching TV. LOL, I didn't mention it was EC because it didn't have anything to do with them and their product and I was afraid mentioning them would cause misguided negativeness toward them which is totally not the case, but since they voluntarily stepped up to the base and corrected an issue that was with goodyear 100% without blinking an eye shows what fantastic integrity they have and the level of care they have for their customers I don't mind it being mentioned :-) I am on my 3rd coach in 3 years and I can tell you now Entegra has a customer for life here!

Inquiring minds are wondering WHERE they were made.
It would be great if you could get the manufactures plant code off those tires and post it here.

Sorry about your GY tires. But tires are like everything else, some are good, some are not. I have GY 670 RV tires...no problems.

I agree cat320

We are on our 2nd coach, all with GY tires, no problems:; anyone, anything can have a bad day or bad production cycle. We are having CW replace our fresh water hose on our 14 Aspire44B under warranty. We noticed right after we bought ours late March there were lots of complaints about the funky taste and smell. So just saying anything can have a bad production batch:;

We will need front tires soon. How do the 670 tires compare with XRV or similar Michelin, pricewise?

I think everyone can accept sometimes things happen in a production run.....What folks can't tolerate is when a company like Goodyear doesn't step up on brand new tires that are bad and make the customer happy. And in this matter it isn't a case of tires with a ton of miles on it. Terrible customer service.

I noticed one of my drive tires has a split in the tread. I'm going to send a picture to Entegra and have them take a look. I'll take a closer look at the sidewalks on the steer axle as I was focusing on the tread.

Due to poor (non-existant) service at purchase, then came the "rivering" and finally problems with friends GY tires........We'll never own another Goodyear tire (auto, MH, trailer, etc.)

Here is one of 2 blow outs I had with the GY 670 tires. They were only 2 and 3 yrs old and I set them at 85 PSI cold. I bought Michelin and had the RV weighed all 4 points and the correct pressure is 85 LBS. Running the Michelin for 3-4 years now, no problems.
