Got 2 nasty dents fixed on 2 coach doors the other day and what makes this noteworthy is that the doors are aluminum with a styrofoam filler and vinyl inner panel. I have tried all over the country to find a PDR [paintless dent repair] tech who was willing to try to remove the dents and every one or them said no way with the aluminum. Steel is no problem. I finally talked a local tech into giving it a try and the results surprised him and me. These were quarter sized dents that were about 1/4" deep. I think one came from a ricochet.45 round, but that is another story. He drilled about a 3/8" hole behind both dents and was able to work his magic and the results were fantastic. Moral is,,, if there is a good PDR tech around, if you can talk them into giving it a try, they can probably get the same results without having to go the traditional route of sanding, filling, priming, painting, clearing and hoping for a good match. I filled the small holes he had to drill with caulking and they are very hard to spot. I am VERY happy.
