Yeah, that's really useful stuff. I keep a few gallons on board at all times.

I consider the grey tanks self flushing due to soap from sinks and shower. As long as your p traps work no odor reaches the inside.

Like some here, I've been RVing for many years. To this day, I've never had a need to flush the lines or the tank on any of our rigs. I don't do it with the home's plumbing so I certainly don't see a need to do it with the camper.

On this note,, We got behind a slow poke at the dump station the other day. He dumped one tank, then hooked up the non potable water hose and flushed the tank (I'm guessing), then moved the slinky to another point on the trailer and dumped some more. We sat there watching for a good 15 or 20 minutes before he finally pulled up enough for us to dump. Took a little over a minute for me to dump our tanks, button everything up, and wash my hands. The guy was still fiddling around with his plumbing when we drove past him.

I purchased the flush fitting sprayer that gos on the black tank drilled a hole in top of gray and plumed to were I could get to it. You have to be able to get to the top of the gray tank. I do a lot of dry camping were I can get water and are able to drop GY on the ground. It helps with the stink when you are dumping. Dan

Well like you said, you have been rving for years. And have the routine down. Guy might have been new to dumping. If I'm at a dump station behind someone. I'll take the opportunity to hook up the rinse hose and the drain hose to save time.
Some are just more efficient than others. 😏
