Grounds
More of an informative post.
My interior lights were acting funny. When the living room lights were turned on, the bedroom lights would come on at about 50% power. Coach does have a multiplex lighting system. I talked with a service rep at American Technology's (maker of the multiplex system). After I described what was happening, he walked me through a few troubleshooting steps. At the end he told me that based on the results, all the equipment is good. It sounds to him like a ground issue. I found and cleaned the grounds, and all is well now.
Just like my old Jeeping days, if electronics start doing goofy things, look at your grounds. This applies to any and all motorhomes.

All very true. My Dad performed electrical worked on some of the first satellites that were sent up into outer space. He used to always say the same thing. Thanks for the tip!

How'd Dad get the ground wire back to earth?

Had a similar lighting issue when we purchased our used 1996 travel trailer. First lights turned on were bright. When a second switch was turned on, everything got dim. Replaced the ground to chassis frame wire from the fuse block. The battery (up front on the tongue) was grounded to the frame also. So, no direct connection between the block and the battery. Lots of rust underneath the original bolt and cable end. It has been working fine for years now after the fix.
"Ground Control" - Groan!
