Guardian RV Generator Quietpact 75D M/N 4270

I have started blowing the 14 amp fuse on the generator. I replace the fuse, start it and it will run for about 30-40 seconds. It then blows the fuse again. When I insert the new fuse, it makes a clicking sound and will eventually blow again. Any ideas?

Here is a link to the manual
LINK GENERAC

This is a good trouble-shooting manual

The first thing that comes to my mind is what is turned on that circuit? That sounds like ether something on that circuit is faulty or that the wires have been decayed/eaten and allowing a direct short.

I have the same model Generac as you. A year or so ago mine had the same problem, except 14 amp fuse would blow as soon as I tried starting the unit. I took the MH in to a supposed Generac repair facility. They found corroded connections to the voltage regulator and a pinched (and shorted) wire from the generator. Also there were two shorted wires at the solenoids. I provided them the troubleshooting manual, they didn't have one, and was told it helped them a lot in running the problems down.
