Hello, Considering purchasing a Harley Trike. I want to tow the truck behind our 2007 Monaco Knight motor home with the Trike in the bed of the truck. I would like to know if anyone is carrying their Trike in the back of a pick up truck. If so, what size truck bed are you using, manufacturer and model of the truck and did you have to do anything special to tow the truck.

We are considering purchasing a lift for the bed of the truck to load/unload the Trike.

I appreciate any assistance.

You would need to take measurements and get all dimensions of that trike

Harley Trike is over 8' total length, almost 6' wheel base (center to center), 55" wide and close to 1000#

Tailgate of a longbed truck would have to be left open
Rear weight of trike MIGHT have to be supported by tailgate (could be an issue)
Tailgate opening is roughly 60" so tight fit (2 1/2" each side)

Then you have to also have tow capacity for full size truck, trike and lift

I put my Road Glide into my truck using a Rampage Lift. He has adapters to use it for trikes. There is a video of it in operation on his web site. Rampage Power Lift Ramp
I bought a used Rampage and called him for advise and he was very helpful. Give him a call and he can provide some guidance. '

Ditto on the Rampage lift. I have a Colorado long bed truck and carry
an Electra Glide Ultra Classic on a Rampage lift with no problems. They make one for a trike. There is a video at rampagelift.com Also loadall makes a ramp that is enclosed in a large aluminum box and slides out the back. I have not used oe but they look pretty cool.
