You can figure that the current walls will have a lot of dirt and oils on them and unless that is removed, no paint will properly adhere.

Behr is all I used in house for 30 years..all I will ever use. Raised 4 animals in house many pets too .It takes longer but a Purdy shorted nap roller Will leave the best finish.Its acrylic paint I believe.
Cut the bottom of 15yr old can still good.
Never had an issue with it not priming well ....one color less problems with edges as supposed to white primer and color. Also frog tape best edges.Hate to say but ....3M blue not so much.

Steve, which wall did you paint? I assume our floor plans are somewhat similar.

I debated redoing the wall covering in the bedroom when restoring the MA. didn't end up doing anything but cleaning them up. They were in better shape than I anticipated. I think I still have the wall covering material I bought for the job...
