Not attached to the MH in this pic but it's how I do it. That's a Kendon trailer.

I have a Kawasaki KLR250 dual sport. I use a ratcheting strap to temporarily collapse the front forks and then roll it into the rear of my toad, a 2005 Dodge Caravan with the rear seats removed. After I strap it in an upright position to the former seat rails I release the front forks and the resulting tension holds it stable.

You didn't say what kind of motorcycle you had but I doubt if this method would work on a much larger cycle.

Well Sir,
We've done at least three different ways of what you're asking. The first was a gas motorhome hauling a 7' x 16' V-nosed totally enclosed trailer. That was by far, the cleanest, most secure way of doing it. But, because of it's nature, we were limited to only M/C transportation while camping.

So, Plan B came into effect. We changed to a D/P. We purchased an '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the CAT C-7 330HP. I purchased and installed a Hydralift M/C carrier/loader on the back. With that lift, we carried a Honda GL 1800 Goldwing and, were able to tow our '04 Jeep Rubicon so, we had the best of both worlds.

But, as time went on, we changed. We now tow a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab 4x4. When we're prepping for a trip, I slide into the bed, a Rampage lift/carrier. It now carries the Wing. The trucks pay load is 1500 lbs. so, even with the lift and the Wing back there, we're not taxing the trucks suspension.

We've enjoyed all ways of doing it. There are plus's and minus's for each way. You'll have to decide what's maybe the best plan for your operation.

There are other ways too:
1. A tow-dolly specifically designed for hauling a car and, having a motorcycle across the front of it.
2. A fully enclosed trailer, long enough to haul both a car and the M/C.
3. A flat bed trailer " " " " " " " " " "
4. Some Gas coaches, namely one called an "Outlaw" and, one called "Canyon Star" have garages in the rear that can easily haul your bike and tow a toad.

So, you have multiple ways, depending on your needs and wants. Good luck.
Scott

I don't have pictures either. We had a 8.5x16 and hauled 4 motorcycles. We decided to that we didn't need to haul 4 motorcycles around and also bought a different coach about the same time. The present coach had a Hydralift on it for a trike. Currently Hydralift is doing a modification to be able to haul two 400 lb. motorcycles. We are expecting to pick it up the first week of Oct., hoping for the best. With the Hydralift it will allow us to haul our two bikes and flat tow the Jeep. We considered a different trailer but didn't want to deal with the overall length. Easy to disconnect the Jeep at parks and get around some tight areas.

I started with the Rampage lift in the back of my truck which worked vey well with a travel trailer. Tried a toy hauler and was very unhappy with the living area but moving the bike was great. Went to the Phaeton with an Overbilt lift that I had installed at the factory. Easy to load or unload and carries the weight nicely. It also let me go from my one ton truck to a nice riding toad.

I pull an enclosed trailer to haul mine. Cleanest and most secure I believe.

I used to tow a 16 foot enclosed trailer for my cycle and "extra stuff". After several months of thinking while starring at the rear frame and rear body of my motorhome, I designed a simple cycle carrier.

I position an aluminum ramp and walk the bike up or down. It works well for me. I am much happier not towing a trailer.

I'm a full timer. I have my trailer and SUV (covered) in storage for $65 a month.

I recently built the bicycle rack. Just 2 square tubes from the frame, through the fiberglass, extending 3 feet. I bought an aluminum bike carrier (rooftop type) and bolted it on to the extension tubes.

Like has been said, depends on what you want and your coach. I pull a 24' enclosed behind a 36' Motorhome, still long and doesn't fit in all sites, but disconnecting isn't hard. But, like today, 60% chance of rain all day, so bike stays here and we Jeep it. The rear lifts are nice, but not for all rigs. My pic in avatar.

Considered a Hydralift for the rear of the coach but ended up going with a LoadAll ramp for the back of the F150 (shortbed). This doesn't put any weight on the tailgate, and telescopes in when not in use so the tailgate can close. The ramp comes out to free up the bed if you need to haul stuff. I use a Condor wheel chock which folds flat so the rollup tonneau cover fully closes. I've also installed 2 fork lock bike carriers onto the sides of the ramp so I can put the bicycles back there. It's a great solution for us.
