All aftermarket headlamp assemblies are junk. Eagle Eyes are the most common ones used by the RV industry and they are the cheapest and the worst. I had them in my RV. I replaced them with Spyder headlight assemblies, better but still junk. If you can afford to replace the junk with the genuine assembly go for it. In my case Coachmen used Audi A4 headlights and those on the used market are between $600 and $800 each.
I did too much reading on the headlight bulbs. If you use H7 or H4 look at the Phillips Racingvision. Lots of light but only a 200 to 300 hour life. We don't drive at night much and I turned the DRL off so hopefully these will last at least 2 years for us.
Another choice is the Osram Volusa and the Osram Nightbreaker. Both excellent bulbs, have less output than the Phillips but have a longer life.
It also comes down to projector or reflector. I'm stuck with low beam projectors and there isn't much I can do other than a different bulb, aim well and put a relay in. If you have a reflector headlight I think your going to get more light on the road than the projector. Still, make sure you aim well, put a good bulb in and add a relay.
