Heading to Alabama from NJ for holiday break

So I know I winterized my coach; but, I got some unexpected time off and I am going to take my ride down south (Alabama) for a week of travel. Visit some family and do some light touring. I plan on taking route 81; but, if the weather gets cold I may take 95 south. I will keep an eye on the weather before I leave in order to pick my route, I will just re-winterize as soon as I get back. Love this type of action road adventure.

If there is no snow in the forecast I-81 would be my preferred way. I hate the I-95 traffic, and there's always traffic except late at night.
Have fun on the trip.

Just came back from a round trip from New York to Little Rock via Nashville. Did 81 both ways. Days were early spring like but some nights got down into the low forties. One night was in the thirties.

Thanks for the well wishes. On 81 it looks like 32 in the day and low 20's at night. On 85 weather looks to be 10 degrees warmer in the day and high 20's at night. .
