A cheap harbor freight hook tool will release or hook the springs My Ace hardware had headlight screws and and retainers last time I looked for them ,it's been a few years.
They chose parts already mass produced lights rather then spend way more to have it done and to be able to change up the looks year to year. Thank goodness they did and less short run parts were used. The less non permanent proprietary parts the better . Bargman even dropped my side markers after 30-40 years but Peterson chose to reproduce them.
I just priced the crappiest designed switch I have ever seen for Dometic fridge door light. $33-$50 . I can't get whole assembly for the same prices. I pried it apart to see how switch was made/designed or fiddle it back to working.( poorly that's how it was designed) .

Thank you for all the help I appreciate it. I guess I am going to have to learn as I go with these headlights. I do have someone that is going to help me install a LED light bar on the front to help with seeing at night. So hopefully it will make things easier.

At least a glass bulbs wont dull out. The headlight remote relay upgrade is popular fix. Puts larger 12v pos. wire to HLs and HL switch just pulls in the relays.

To add to above about HL relays. If chassis battery is in front you could easily test how much brighter a HL might be bypassing HL switch by running some 10 or 12 ga wire jumpers direct to battery and a HL or spare with some spades.

Thank you again for all the help with my headlight issues, several of you were 100% correct. The screws for the headlight assembly were rusted and were just spinning I had a mom and pop RV repair shop that actually came up with a solution to get the headlights to adjust unfortunately driver side headlight met with a tragic end by hitting the floor so now we had to order a replacement and since we are doing the driver side I decided to just replace both sides.
