Ordered capacitor has not arrived, but came to our rig anyway. Out of curiosity, I turned on the front A/C, unexpectedly, it ran as it should. Looks like our front A/C is back to normal.

What had I done? The other day I checked the PCB box fuse, pulled out the capacitors, and manually turned the fan blades. Might that break free of the seizing? Will keep the ordered capacitor as a spare.

Thank you all of you for your insight and sharing! Happy trails!

Good job - good outcome -->> I suspect you broke corrosion free when swapping/checking/plugging/fiddling with wires.

Typically, I always carry my meter, crimper, spare connectors, CRC contact cleaner and lubricant and dielectric grease when I do any electrical troubleshooting - I always pull the plugs/connectors from sockets, spray with CRC then shove the connector back in a few times - re-crimp and crimp-ons and dab with dielectric grease - I'm always pleased when those efforts fix a problem and am also sure that those efforts have prevented other failures even if I was way off base with my troubleshooting. Oh, yeah, I often remove/sand surface grime and re-attached ground wires.

All of those are good practice, could fix and prevent lots of troubles. I'll borrow it and make it my routine .

Yeah, we need a "sticky" for the community - how to really reset a tripped circuit breaker, how to remove and test a fuse - and all the other handy stuff to do as you try to fix stuff.
