Heated tile floor, yes or no?

Thanks to the input from all of you I am going to order a motorhome with either Aqua Hot or Oasis, depending on which brand of motorhome I choose. The question I have for anyone with Aqua Hot or Oasis is would you also order the heated tile floors? If you have both in your motorhome do you use the heated tile floors that I often? I am going to spend the winters in Florida.

If you choose an Entegra, heated floors come standard.

My unit came with heated floors throughout the coach, except for the bedroom - which was carpet.

After one season, I took out the carpet and put heated floors there too!

Yes... they are that good... and many times it's the only heat I use.

During cold weather I hate that walk from the bedroom to the kitchen to turn on the coffee maker. Heated tile would be great! I have tile everywhere except bedroom and cockpit.

I just replaced my entire floor last spring from part carpet and part tile to all tile. I installed heat cables under the new tile and we are really glad I did. It makes for a great experience first thing in the morning instead of a chilling experience and as others have stated, it also helps to heat the coach.

It sounded like you were alluding to the two different type of hydronic units available and heated flooring. Most heated flooring in RV's is electric, not hydronic heated.

With that said, we live in California and were very reluctant to get the heated flooring, even though our new coach is all tile, including the slides. We caved and optioned the heated flooring and it has been great. We've had one of the coldest winters in California history. On every trip so far, all we've used for the majority of the time, to heat the coach, has been the heated floors. We ran into some 25 degree weather in Williams last month and the heated floors kept the coach at 75 during the day and 65 at night. The BEST part, no noisy fans or drying heat.

What is the power requirement for electric heated floors (say 40ft coach)? Is it a single 120V circuit? How many amps?

If you are spending Winters in Florida, you won't use the heated floors that often except to knock the chill off the tile. We have been in 20 degree weather with ours and using the floors set on about 75 degrees and the fireplace, the furnaces rarely ever come on. We debated about the extra cost, but after having them I wouldn't do without them now.
