Hella Wrap Around Tail Light Source

For 16 years our vintage American Eagle has suffered from a cracked back-up light on the passenger side of the coach. Water intrusion has been an issue in addition to the white gorilla tape does not look good at all!

Periodically I have searched for a replacement source for an exact match to no avail.....then in reading a post on this forum a link was provided to a thread from 2011 or so that at the end of the discussion a newcomer posted a link in a years later (Jan 2024) that she had found the replacement source for the lamp assembly itself.

Hella was the OEM source for these tail lights for American Eagles and Dreams from 1995 thru 2000. Many Bluebird Wanderlodge coaches, Volvo OTR buses and some Monaco coaches also used these tail lights.

The source is partshubdirect.com located in Georgia. They have the red, amber and white versions manufactured in Spain with the original Hella part numbers embossed on the backshell molding of the unit.

Here is a pic of the new white lens mounted below the 27 year old original Hella's.

The 27 year old lenses were cleaned up with some Flitz polish prior to taking the photo.

Cost including shipping was $55 using their discount posted on their website.

Thanks for that link. They were originally used in 90's German Man busses close as I could find, they're in my 93 Beaver. I found a source for an entire set, lenses and bases for $1200 so I've taken really good care of them. I actually figured if something happened it would time to find a different set an do some fiberglass work.

Again, thanks.
