Help! '07 Damon Astoria Wiper Issue
Hi everyone,
We recently purchased a '07 Damon Astoria Pacific 3774 and on our maiden voyage the windshield wipers stopped working. At the time I checked the wiper motor and it was hot to the touch and I was getting 12V DC to the motor. I replaced the motor and found the retaining pin had broken I side the housing causing the motor shaft to not spin. After I swapped the motor I found I was not getting voltage to the motor. I replaced the 2 relays and just replaced the wiper controller, still no voltage. Here's a pic of the wiring diagram. I do not have a fuse that I can locate (the fuse box diagram says "optional". I shot all the wires and have impedence in all the wires.
Does anyone have some experience with the '07 freightliner custom chasis and can weigh in on what the issue is?

Because Freightliner didn't install the wiper motor , Damon could have picked up power from any source that Freightliner left open , so it won't be labeled ( wiper) check the chassis fuse box and test any fuse labeled " ignition " my Freightliner has three ignition fuses and wipers were tied into one of those.

A second thought ; after blowing up the diagram you posted ,
The power to the relays is labeled " BCC WWF" , that would indicate a fuse in the Damon installed , Battery Control Center .
I'll look at diagrams I have for BCCs and see if I can see a fuse labeled WWF or similar .
If you haven't opened the BCC yet to check fuses , the unit looks like this.

I checked all the engine fuses (visual and ohm meter) and they were good. I'll check the BCC now.

I finally got around to checking the BCC and you were right! There is a 10amp auto reset blade style circuit breaker that is not working. The issue I have now is the breaker that was in there is shaped like a standard ATC Fuze but the blades are longer. I ordered 2 similar ones from the same manufacturer but the blades are standard size and won't fit.
Does anyone know where to get ATC blade style circuit breakers with the longer blades? I called around everywhere in my area and 20 is the smallest they carry in that shape.

Not right off hand , but with no supply available it may be time to do some creative with adapting what you bought to fit ,
Maybe short wires with male/female blade connectors , the C/B will be slightly off the board , but you'll have working wipers till you find exactly what you need.
EDIT: A quick search for blade 12 volt circuit breakers , turned up " Cole Hersee " as a supplier of the C/Bs with long blades that can be shortened as required . Grainger here in Canada has them.
I can't upload the photo , wrong type of file.
RE-EDIT: Found a file that will post .
