Help Diamond shield removal
Was wondering if anyone knows a place in southern California that removes diamond shield and roughly a cost.

I seem to remember someone mentioning a business in or near Tampa, FL specializing in that kind of thing. Of course that doesn't do the OP much good, but perhaps a phone call or two could turn one up in L.A.

I’m doing that now on my a Ventana. The Baystar was a mess but it was 10 years old when I bought it and that’s they way I got it. Definitely something you want to take care of to avoid this issue.

You probably have the newer version the older stuff turns to crap after 10 years or so.

If you have one of the "bad' ones and live in the south there's nothing you can do to keep it looking new IFAIK.

I can't blame you for wanting to pay someone to do it. I took mine off last month and it was about 15-20 hours to get most off it off. Probably another 10 hours getting all the little bits around the mirrors, etc.
There are two or three different types. Mine was the one that you have to use a heat gun. A hair drying wouldn't work. Perhaps it would when it's hot outside. I followed the advice from ugly shield removal youtube videos. It was almost fun for 10 hours or so....
Probably going to be around 1k to have it done. Probably worth it.
On the other hand I think the scrapers, sand paper, and solvent were less than a 100.

Under “normal” conditions, you could plan a fun trip to Ft Meyers, rent a condo, go fishing, try some of the restaurants and other establishments, do some swimming, misc recreating, and maybe even soak up some sun, and pick up the coach when it’s done for the return trip. But theses days, who knows....?
I have an appointment with HWH in Moscow Iowa in March (doesn’t sound nearly as fun) then off to Nappanee for another week of money spending. Fort Meyers sounds much more appealing, not to be confused with a-peeling, of course
