Cool Help me pick a Coach

Advise and experience needed

I'm looking to move from a toy hauler to a DP and mid sized tongue tow car hauler. Majority of my adventures are boon docking with some mild off road paths to get to camp. I don't know anything about DP except the engine is in the back and it's a diesel and I should avoid some electronic control system.

Desires (I think, please advise):
max 40' prefer shorter
Powerful engine
Pre-def
side radiator
large water and grey
ground clearance as good as it can, willing to lift if possible
damn good chassis, it must drive well! I ain't white knuckling
Price - 60-50k

Do you know of an animal that would check most of the boxes ?

What you are going to find in answers are that most likely everyone's favorite rig is what they currently own.
I will tell you what I have and do, so hopefully this will help. I drive a 2008 Newmar MountainAire that is 41 ft. It has a tag axle and that is a plus for towing a trailer. I currently tow a stacker enclosed trailer. It drives very well. I actually enjoy driving it as much as driving our suburban.
We also do a fair amount of boondocking although I do avoid dirt roads like the plague as my radiator just gets stopped up. I have a large bank of lithium batteries and a little bit of solar. I had a large array of solar on my previous enclosed trailer but did not move those to my stacker as it is 13 ft. tall. I really don't have to run my generator that much to keep the batteries charged so I don't mind as the gen needs to run occasionally anyway.
My advice is if you are going to drive much dirt, then be prepared to keep your radiator clean if you end up with a pusher. Maybe someone else will chime in with experience and advice for that.
Otherwise, it sounds like your list is pretty comprehensive and doable. Good luck in your search.
