Help, New Floor Installed and Can't Find Sofa Bolts!

So we just got our floors done in our 2000 Fleetwood Southwind 32v. The contractor covered the sofa bolts, does anyone have a clue how to find them? We tried everything we could think of. :( this is a lot to ask but can anyone measure where the first two bolts are?

Garrett Propointer metal detector. Handheld orange in color. Unless your subfloor is metal.

That metal detector is used to pinpoint a small object in the ground after the big metal detector tells you there is something there. VERY SENSITIVE.

If you had carpeting replaced read below ... if your talking about wood/tile flooring ignore what I wrote below.

If you have the sofa, you can get measure the mounting leg spacing, get a rough idea of where on the floor the mounting holes should be. Then take a sharp awl (ice pick) and pook through the carpet until you find the holes. The awl will drop into the bolt hole once you find its location.

Anywhere you pook the awl and don't find a mounting hole will not be noticeable.

Once you find the first hole, the others will be easier to located knowing the sofa leg spacing.

You do not mention, if you have a slide or not. If in slide, can you not go outside and look from underneath ?

Was the floor glued down or floated?

What did the floor installer tell you to do when you called him?

It was glued down, shoe molding was also installed. I haven’t called him yet but I will if I can’t figure this out.
