Help please, valuing and selling class A
We bought a 2005 Monaco Knight 38 PDQ last year in Oct. We determined the price asked was reasonable based on comparisons with similar models on RV trader. There were several nationally and ours was midpoint.
Now we would like to sell and have set the price based on two facts. First, our previous selling dealer offered to consign it for us nd their agreement comprised of a fixed price to us when sold. They would make their profit asking what they felt they could get.
Second fact again comparisons with RV Trader similar models. not as many out there but for the three months we've been selling, we've been competetive. We have the year long ad in RVT and lots of good pictures. We've responded to everyone and had one couple come drive in it.
What keeps coming up is the difference between NADA with accessories and market. We asked a local RV dealer to consign it and he did the same thing,i.e. quoted NADA and offered way low. What gives?
Now I have another interested party who wants a complete list of accessories so he can come up with a nada value. It's been awhile since I did this myself but even when I did it before the resulting retail was not as high as market.
we re losing money selling. [mod edit]
