Help- Slides think Parking Brake is Off

Hope someone can help me with this problem. Naturally it is happening right before leaving on a big trip. I have a 2009 Winnebago Diesel Pusher. I started the engine to put in the slides and when I push the buttons, the Parking Brake warning light comes on- indicating the parking brake isn’t on. Therefore the slides don’t move. All three slides do (or don’t do) the same thing with the blinking parking brake light. I’ve tried taking the parking brake off then back on and it didn’t help (that only succeeded in dumping my jacks...). They are getting some signal that my PB is not on. Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance!

You didn't mention what chassis your RV is built on, but there have been threads about faulty brake switches. They can send a false signal that the brake isn't on. You might search the forum for threads about that issue. Use the search box with the Google logo for best results.

Thanks for the information. When I calmed down after thinking the worst about relays, switches etc. wrecking the start of my trip, I got out the manual and went through the troubleshooting. Turns out, in the control area with all my switches and gauges, there is a key to lock out opening/closing of the rooms. We've always left the key in the on position but it must have been bumped and was just barely not "ON". Bingo, problem solved. On a bigger note, I love the fact I can come on here and have a reply so quickly. Thanks for the advice.
