Help us get her running! 1995 Tourmaster

BF just bought a nice looking 1995 Gulfstream tourmaster. 5.9 Cummins. She started good and drove home great! But now batteries not charging and he has determined she needs a new voltage regulator. Fortunately he is a mechanic with 30 years experience, but where do you find parts?? We need a Powerline 10-130 voltage regulator. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance! Cathy and John

Before condemning the voltage regulator, have him check for voltage at the alt output terminal.

If no voltage at it, jump the battery isolator. If that works, you may have the wrong alternator or the Duvac system wiring may need attention.

When he fields the alternator, the alternator charges. He hasn’t found. Battery isolator. Checked wiring to voltage regulator and it is correct. Pretty sure regulator defective. Finding one is a challenge. Thanks for you help in this.

We are in business

Nothing like an old guy at the parts counter. The Powerline 10-130 alternator has been discontinued. But old parts guy remembered a ford 540 HD which goes on a fire truck would work! Hope he enjoys the case of beer we got him!!
