Help with diagnosis

Good Day folks,

Need some help with a diagnosis. Last weekend I went to start my mh as a course of regular running. Acted like a dead battery. Fast forward to this weekend. Checked the battery, fully charged at 12.6. Bird seems to be working. Thinking bad starter or loose connection along the way.

2006 Damon Daybreak V10 3 valve.

Had 17k miles on it.

Thoughts?

Thanks
Bill

Is it the bird making it have 12.6 volts what happens when it’s unplug and try starting what does voltage drop to?

Checked while plugged in bird reads 14.1 batt reads 12.6

Will unplug and check. Battery seems strong no dimming of dash lights etc.

It does start if I coax it, turn key off and try again, but cranks very slow then lights off.

Where are you getting BIRD voltage ? The BIRD is a small control box.

Are you checking battery voltage of the chassis battery ?

If your checking the isolation solenoid, you should see the same voltage on both sides of it, while on shore power.

Maybe a picture of what your checking will help.

Touche, thanks for getting me back to basics. Battery had no water and was completely dead. Added distilled water and plugged in to charger. We will see if I killed it or not.

Thanks

When the system are coupled, yes will read same. Converter was put out bulk charge 14.2, batt read 12.6

Disconnected and waited. Batt went to 11.9 dead.

Was out of water. Added distilled water and put on a charger. My neglect may have killed it.
