Help with fueling sites

Is there and app or site that'll tell me where an RV FRIENDLY ( Meaning lots of room ) to gas up? Between our RV and the tow vehicle its at 55' The way it is now I keep my eyes peeled as we go for any place I can squeeze into hopefully the pump on the end.

We just use Google map.

You can look at both street view and satellite view. DONE.

That is after using gasbuddy to check prices along our route.

Open roads is for diesel trucks, so assuming that is the type of gas station you are looking for.

When traveling, I always look for Flying J stations as many have dedicated RV gas/diesel lanes (separate from the commercial truck pumps on the other side of their station properties) where you can much more easily navigate to get your gas. I'm 36' plus toad, and I've not had an issue with these RV lanes in the many years we've been RV'ing. And Flying J has an app that you can use to filter for these RV Lanes when you are planning out your gas stops. I've also seen more recently when out West that the Maverik chain of gas stations also has in many locations, RV gas lanes as well. I used one in Verkin, UT (just West of Zion NP) with RV lanes. Maverik also has a phone app where you can filter for stations with RV Lanes.

You'll make your gas planning much easier on yourself if you estimate the locations on your routes where you'll hit the point on your gas gauge where you're going to want to start looking for a station, and use assets such as these to aid your search. I also use RV Trip Wizard (part of RV Life), a Subscription Service, to plan all of our adventures, and the mileage estimation tools and the gas station database resident in this planning tool make gas stop planning very straight forward and easy. You might consider it for your global planning tool.

I downloaded and used the Flying J app. You will have RV friendly lanes there.

If you go to a big rig diesel refueling station (Flying J, Loves, etc) do not turn where it says, "RVs Turn Here." Go around back with the big rigs.

You don’t say in your post but, by your question, I assume you own a gasser. If so the use the CAR/RV entrance at the Flying J’s. There will be two lanes dedicated to RV’s. If the lanes are full Just wait your turn.

If you are driving a diesel then use the truck lanes in any truck stop.

I drove a gasser for quite a while and feel your pain in finding a fuel stop while towing.

Good luck and safe travels.

Phil

Go around back ONLY IF 1/You use diesel, & 2/ Your fill pipe has a large enough inside diameter to accept the larger high volume diesel nozzle.
