help with input on new purchase please : )

Hello. I am new to class a. I have been shopping and have narrowed it down to two models and cld use yalls opinion to help me decide.

2001 holiday rambler with workhorse p22 8.1 v8 and allison 1000 trans
vs
2003 r-vision condor with workhorse p32 8.1 v8 and gm 4L85e

Rambler info
57k miles. Was affected by autopark recall and all 4 callipers replaced. Fair condition for age. 6inch insulated roof

Condor info
27k miles. Not affected by autopark recall. Good condition. 4in insulated roof

Both will need new tires and basic maint on chassis done. I plan on taking trips with a fam of 4 gear while pulling a toad.

The newer condor is priced lower but the HR is within reach. I just dont know how these stack up. Better to buy a newer p32 with less miles or is the HR the clear choice. Help please. I would like to buy one this weekend to use on a up comming trip. Any input on brands or chassis wld be great

Typo: the HR is on a w22 22000# chassis the rvision on p32 18000# chassis

I would go for the rambler. Better make, better chassis, better transmission. It should also have a higher towing capacity.

If you can VERIFY that the Bosch Brake Recall was completed on the W22 (HR), that would be the better choice even with the higher miles. The W22 does NOT have "autopark", but the 18,000 GVWR P32 chassis DOES have an AAPB, which is just another potential headache you don't need. There never was a recall on the AAPB, the recall was for replacement of the 4 service brake calipers.

The higher capacity W22 chassis with an Allison tranny make this choice an easy one for me. I suggest you go with the W-22 Holiday Rambler. It shouldn't be much more $$, if any, than the newer Condor. In any case, but the one your wife likes best.....
