Help with trickle charge of Coach Batteries.

When charging the Engine batteries, can you put the charger on one battery and both will charge?

I use a battery minder attached to one battery and it charges both. I leave it on there for weeks at a time and seems to keep the chassis batteries fully charged.

I read in the instructions for the Battery Minder Plus to initially charge/condition one battery at a time for a few days or so. Thereafter, both batteries can be charged at the same time.

Hi corvette man,
The answer is YES if your rig has a "BIRD" option. Check your manual under Battery Maintainer. The BIRD is a module colored black located in the front, driver, lower electrical compartment or they call it front run box. BIRD means Bi- directional relay delay. If you don't have this one, like my cayman, you can install "Ultra L Start" available in most rv store. Simple to install, Just follow the instruction with it and then you can charge your house batteries and your chassis batt will be charged automatically. Very simple isn't it?

If you have TWO (or more) batteries wired togther as a set, the answer is an unequivocal YES. If you mean charging the chassis batteries from the house set or vice versa, the answer depends on a host of things but generally is "No".
