HELP! Would you ride on this.

Just saw this and was planning to leave on a 200 mile trip tomorrow. This tire is four years old and has less than 10,000 miles on it. Is it safe to use for a short trip until I can have it looked at/replaced?Click image for larger version

I wouldn't trust it other than a slow drive to the tire shop.

Man I would be really hesitant to take a trip on that, BUT ...I can say emphatically that my wife would absolutely NOT allow us to drive on that tire anywhere but to a repair shop!!

Guess that's why I'm lucky she's kept me around these last 40+ years ,

The brand is interesting and the tire a candidate for an off road trailer

Agree with everyone, not worth the risk

Emphatically - Nope! And when you replace it use only mild soap and water on your tires. No vanity products. Clean dull black is good, shiny black is not. (and you will save money)

looks like some one use tire shine on it with oil products i it. Bad for tires. depending on the size, take it off and get it to a tire shop. this patient is almost DOA.

I would not take this anywhere other than a slow trip to tire shop. The checking around the missing piece is very concerning to myself.
Safe travels
Terry

Lets think about it. Would you like to be driving down the highway and enjoy having a blowout? I guess it is up to you.

Do you have an extended tire warrenty? Perhaps tire dealer will give you a break from manufacturer.

Like others have said, I would drive really slow to the closest tire dealer. Only a 4 year old tire it looks very bad, is it continually in sun light?

Agreed no way to guess what it might do in the future.
