High-end gas coach
OK, I know very little about gas coaches-- all three of ours were diesel.
A friend asked for advice on a gas coach-- here are his requirements:
High end fit and finish
32' ideal length-- just two adults
No full wall slides. One or two slides OK.
Long WB/OL ratio-- this will probably be difficult. Does anyone know of a 32' coach on anything longer than a 208" wheelbase?
2006 or newer.

He's in for a rude awakening.
Can he repair anything with tools, or does he use his wallet ?
Any 32 - 38 foot class "A" is going to have a big overhang in the rear.
It's just the way they are.............
You have to go back to the 80's to get tongue and groove silverware drawers.

A fellow offshore sailor looking to travel by land. So he is "tool trained".
But has read enough to be scared of the handling of a short wheelbase/long overhang coach.
Hence the question-- anyone know of a 32' (or so) with longer than 208" Wheelbase?

Or a Tiffin 32SA; 34' 3" long, 228" wheelbase. All wood is "real" - either solid wood or wood plywood. Construction is about as good as it gets nowadays. The 31SA is darn near identical but for a queen bed. It's no longer made though, so the only option there is used.
Newmar makes several smaller gas coaches as well, in the Baystar and Baystar Sport lines. Overall quality is good (similar to Tiffin), although Newmar uses paper-wrapped wood product instead of real wood. They do have several models under 32' with 4 Baystar's and 6 Baystar Sports.
The overhang, at least in the Tiffin 32SA isn't too bad at approximately 11 - 12 feet. I find it entirely manageable. Some of the smaller Bay Star Sports may have less, but those coaches are quite small.

There are three Newmar Bay Stars under 32' long. All of them have a 200" wheelbase:
Model 3005 WB=200" OL=371" (30'11") Ratio=0.54
Model 3014 WB=200" OL=371" (30'11") Ratio=0.54
Model 3124 WB=200" OL=383" (31'11") Ratio=0.52
There is one Newmar Bay Star that is 32'11" long with a 208" wheelbase:
Model 3226 WB=208" OL=395" (32'11") Ratio=0.53

Note the Tiffin Open Road 32SA is really 34 feet long! Otherwise an awesome gas coach, especially if equipped with Liquid Sping suspension, which also makes the overhang a non-problem.

OP didn't mention if the friend is looking new or used. Up through the 2020 model year Newmar Canyon Star's where their top Gas coach (starting in '21 they became a FRED).
The Canyon Star could be optioned with real wood instead of vinyl wrapped - so you would have to check to see what a used coach came with. For 4 seasons we had a 39' CS toy hauler and it drove really well for a gas coach. The CS line had the 22.5" wheels and I never really felt much push from passing trucks. However, wind was another story, a gas RV will weigh under 26k and you will feel more wind push than a similar size DP just because of the 7-10k difference in weight.
Any recent gas coach will be built upon an F53 chassis so they are pretty similar in how they drive. About the only differences between manufacturers as far as driving characteristics are: - Wheelbase
- Rear overhang
- Specs of things like stabilizer bars
- Wheel / tire sizes
- Front / Rear loading characteristics (long rear overhand and light front may cause extra wander, etc.)

We had a Pace Arrow Vision that was very nice. Solid surface counter tops, real wood cabinents,washer,2 slides. Fit and finish were much better than our Dutch Star.

Hmm, buy the Gasser that you want then Retrofit it, upgrade it, put after market features in it as you see fit. You don't like the couches, go to an Upholsterer and have him give you that Caesar's Palace type couch you so badly crave. You don't like the Microwave it comes with, change it out with a 3 in one cooking appliance, and the list goes on.
The question is not: "do they make/is there a high end Moho" it should be: " why don't they make a High end Moho?" the Manufacturer will advise that: after doing all their surveys and research on the targeted clientele they found there is not a big enough market/demand to Justify the production of a "High end" Gasser. Why alter or create a whole Assembly line for a product that only has 4-6 (speculation. you get the gist) requests or orders per yr? It's not worth it/profitable to them.
