High Exhaust Tempature

My 2010 Revolution LE on the display says High Exhaust Tempature comes on with a blue light, is this anything to lose sleep over? What should I do?

My Tiffin did that a couple of times on a recent trip to FL. Check of the manual indicates that for the Tiffin, it merely warns that the exhaust equipment will be very hot to the touch and could cause ignition of high grass or other material. No indication of an equipment problem, simply a warning that the exhaust is hot.

I would be very interested in hearing what your manual says.

Mine has a yellow light, don't lose sleep. In the cummins engine it is simply completing a "regen." I'm sure there are a number of posts coming that will give you an idea of what happens during this cycle. All I see is a bit of white smoke during this process and then the light goes off and I don't see it again for a couple thousand miles. Depending on the type of driving we're doing. Interstate vs stop and go through large cities or secondary highways, the time between regen is different.

That is normal operation of the exhaust regen cycle to burn off the soot in the system. The warning is so you don't park where the exhaust can start a fire. It is also recommended that you don't shut the engine off during one of the cycles unless it's an emergency.
