Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier?

Curt Trailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier Curt Trailer Cargo Control c31006

I am considering this so I can use the current space for the spare to put my x-pens in.

Anybody know if this will work with my 245.70.19.5 tire/rim?

I see conflicting information about the rim lug holes to bolt to. One guy said there was no way his 19.5 would line up on this. Etrailer said it will definitely hold the weight and works on up to 8 lug wheels....

I don't wanna go buy the thing then not have it work. Also, I have no idea how I'm gonna lift that 130# +- wheel up on there either.....

I have four x-pens for the pups, don't want to put them upstairs, but they won't fit in any other bays except the one where the spare tire/rim is located..... Guess I could put them under the bed in the bedroom, but they are outside use, and I don't want to drag them in and out of the coach to use them.

That tire carrier looks as if it would be ok for trailer/auto spare tire . Does not look heavy enough to carry 19.5" mounted spare. That tire must weigh as much as I do and i'm 6'1" and overweight . Not worth trying for the sake of a few x-pens.
Find a good welder that can fabricate something that would be heavy duty.

Would a hitch mount cargo carrier work to carry the pens?

What's the matter with me? Yes, I think I could fix something up that it would carry them!

Thanks Bluepill!!

Here's the results:

1st Pic - bought an extender hitch. Wouldn't work. Too much overhang.

2nd Pic - took the extender hitch back, got a Blue Ox 10" Lift Hitch

3rd Pic - the Blue Ox. Perfect match.

I am going to reverse the bolts in the middle so I can get them all to lay inside the carrier. All is well and the problem solved. I can access them outside and they don't get carted up into the coach.....Yee Ha!
