Anyone out there have a newer Holiday Rambler that has a 1 post holding the dinette table up? We just bought a 2012 vacationer 36sbt from an elderly couple who got "show-itis" and had to unload it after 1 year due to health reasons. I can't figure out how to lower the dinette table to make it into a bed. I have seen it down in pictures at dealer's sites, but am at a loss. It is the front kitchen model with wrap around seating. Of course they didn't have an owners manual, and I can't see any release mechanism.
Tried to twist it, but afraid of breaking it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it possible the single post is just a friction fit? It removes from the table and floor, then you stow the post and manually lay the table top down on the dinette seat rims to form the bed. This is the system we had in a trailer we had.

I've had that in a couple of RVs. Lift up the table, pull out the post, the table top sets into a recess in the dinette, the back support cushions go over the table top.

If it's the setup I'm thinking of, the post has kind of a taper fit on top and bottom, to keep it from wobbling too much? It's most easily released by the twisting action you're speaking of.

Thanks for all the responses. It was indeed a press fit and I was able to pull it out after a slight twisting. I appreciate the suggestions and correct info.

You probably already found this, but you can get a copy of the owner's manual off the Holiday Rambler website (don't know that how to do that was even in it anyway, tho').

I hope you're enjoying your RV, I love the design and am hoping to see one at the Tampa show this weekend. If you don't mind, would you let me know if you have anything you've found that you're not happy with?
