Hot beds

Looking for some quality heat insulation for the engine compartment that is right below the main bed. After a long drive it's expected to be warm but cooler is much better for a matress and linens.

Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated!

Staple - glue - reflexit 1/4 " insulation, inside and out, should help and is easy/cheap.

Best of luck,

Thanks Skipper, the insulation in the compartment is pretty old and only on the inside. I'll check on that. 😊

I would think the heat from the motor would limit the lifespan of that product. It looks similar to duct insulation if so a 50 foot roll is about 50 dollars at remichels a.c. supply

I'm certainly up for other suggestions. A more sturdy insulation isn't out of the question by a long shot.

I've used Marine Heat/Sound insulation in many boats in my history. Price is greater but good results. There's even a paint to reduce sound/heat (Sound Down). Reflectix is cheapest. Use aluminum furnace tape to seat the edges. I've used multiple layers, glued together with spray on insulation glue with good success.

Summitracing.com has heat and sound insulation for race cars that should help.
