I have always wondered when you store your rig for the winter months, temps under 32 degrees, ok below zero at times, how do you put 50% load on the gen set without running a/c?????

1 or 2 small electric heaters will do the job.

I use my heat pumps. The water heater in electric mode also pulls a lot of amperage. Jerry's suggestion on using electric heaters are certainly a good option.

This reminds me of a story I was told about the diesel generator in the AT&T office where I worked. The first time they went to test it, they killed the commercial AC, it started automatically and ran for about a minute then died. Turns out the fuel pump was wired to the commercial AC.
