Is a special charger required for AGM batteries or will a three stage charger work?

Thx

The specs on this battery are 1 year warranty and 160 minutes reserve capacity. Any battery that does not advertise the standard 20 Hr discharge rate (like every other battery manufacturer does) is NOT a true deep discharge battery despite what the label says !

That is on the Group 27 Marine STARTING battery ! 1 year warranty

4 x 12V Marine batteries = 280 AH; 4 x 6V golf cart batteries = 430 AH. If you buy your golf cart batteries at Costco or Sams, they are about $90 with trade in.
What was the point of this post, besides repeating what we posted ?

Four years ago I bought six 300 amp Lifeline batteries direct from them for $256 each delivered to my home. I checked for a friend last year and they were $290. Since then, all I do is check the connections twice a year and blow the dust off. With a 900 amp bank and solar on the roof, I have plenty of power when needed.

Crasher that sounds good but 500lbs of batteries is one downside of that much storage.

I don't think my 40,000# coach can tell the difference between 400# of six 220 amp batteries and 540# of six 300 amp Lifelines. I know the 450 Cummins doesn't care.

I have never used 6v golf batteries so I have probably a dumb question. I
Do you need (8) 6v batteries to replace (4) 12v house batteries? If so will the golf batteries give better performance and longer life?

No, you don't need 8 batteries.

4,6 volt batteries will give you more capacity then 4 standard size Marine / RV batteries.

A gp31, 12 volt battery is about 100 AH of capacity. 4 of them = 400 AH.

It takes 2, 6 volt batteries to equal 1 12 volt battery. Each 6 volt battery is 225 AH capacity. 4 of them = 450 + AH.

6 volt golf car batteries are designed to be deeply discharged many more times then a 12 volt Marine/RV Dual purpose battery. More discharges means more life.
