House Batteries die

Start our day out everything running fine, everything charged up. Been plugged in all night. Get into mid afternoon and fridge starts beeping (but it is hooked up to propane to travel) dash radio goes on and off. Error on fridge is stating low dc but its running on propane. Detector on ceiling in bedroom beeping. This happens every day we travel. Generator has to be boosted to start. Once we get into campsite and plug in, everything runs fine.
Any suggestions, we are trying every scenario without a lot of luck.

How many and what kind of batteries do you have? How old are they? Have you done a voltage check on them? Sounds like your converter is working, it's putting a charge on the batteries, but the batteries themselves may not be holding a charge.

Two things, weak batteries and bad isolation/charge solenoid.

If the batteries are old or low on water, they won't last a day. But, while driving, they should be charging.

Have someone push the boost or Aux start button/switch on and off, while you listen for it clunking.

Once you find it, replace it. They fail ALL of the time.
Be sure to remove the negetive battery cables of all batteries before working on this solenoid.

Its a contionues duty solenoid, be sure the replacement is too.

Sounds like battery's are not holding a charge, any signs of battery side walls bulging, if so that's a sign they may be getting weak.

The controls for your refrigerator need 12V power even when burning propane. I agree with everyone so far that you have some sort of problem with the house battery. It may also have a charging problem from the chassis but since that doesn't supply as much power as your converter, it could also be something like a shorted cell in one house battery.(batteries) I would pull them/it out and take it to a battery seller and ask them to load test each of them. That will be free. Once that is done you will know more.
