House batteries not charging

My house batteries are not charging either by chassis alternator or shore power, where do I start, batteries are 1 yr old, 09 Southwind

After taking out my batteries (which I should have done before posting!) I found one of the batteries split, I'm sure that's the problem, thanks

If your battery is split, you have more of a problem. Very possible your charger is overcharging the batteries. You also have a lot of acid to clean up, it will eat the paint, and the metal of your rig.

Has the RV been sitting thru the covid mess ?
Did they freeze over the winter ?
