House batteries not charging from generator
I’m on quick TG 2 day trip to North Dallas area in our FW Revolution. Running on generator power, or so we thought. Gen is running but not charging house batteries. I have minimal tools with me, multimeter and a wrench and socket set. It has to be something simple as I was at 14.4 on my 50 amp shore power when we left the house Wednesday night. I am hoping alternator will charge batteries up. Diesel is cheap enough. Wanted to stay and see nephew in HS football game tonight. But with not enough power to run basic necessities sounds like we are going home earlier. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure the gen output circuit breaker(s) are on? Are you getting 120 VAC from your gen? I bet this can be figured out or at least a solution to help you stay and watch the game. We only get so many opportunities to see family.

Good place to start-- turn the two breakers on the generator OFF and back ON.
Do both roof airs come on (i.e. are both legs receiving power through the ATS to the main 120 VAC breaker panel)? If not and the breakers on the generator are verified ON, open the ATS and check for power IN from the generator. Remember you also have a connection where generator wiring connects to the house wiring on its way to the ATS.

Power too low. Even water pump would shut off. Cool night at 52 and no heat. Luckily we boondock at my old school parking lot 1 block from my moms house. Hot shower and more food

Yes, it SHOULD. If it doesn't, easiest place to trouble-shoot is the BATTERY ISOLATOR.

If you're positive it's the inverter than you could just use an external battery charger to charge up the batteries for today.

If your inverter/charger charges on shore power and not generator power, its a power problem, not an inverter problem.
The generator isn't making power, or the auto transfer switch is not switching, or there is a wiring issue.
Generator power is a substute for shore power. They both power the same stuff, including the inverter/charger.

If you have AC power in the coach , check the output from charger. I had one fail that cycled charging power so, one time I would check and it would have output and the next time it wouldn't. It was a 60 amp charger and I replaced it with a 100amp unit.
I had to wire it directly to batteries because the BCC would only alow a 60amp charger to pass through.
You could get a cheap charger at Harbor Freight to get by for the time being.

One other thing to look at is the Battery relay switch....I just had a similar problem and it was a bad relay.
