The black elbow is installed in the pex tubing by the compression ring. It is not removeable. Has to be cut out and replaced. The ID of the tube will be deformed from the elbow, so you will have to cut past the end of the fitting. Not sure if you have enough room for the shark bite fitting to slip over the stub once old fitting is cut off. The expansion type PEX process usually will make the tube OD a little larger past the compression ring a little. Possibly too large and not enough length to install without going past that next fitting.

The washer you need is a cone washer, it's probably 1/2". Will the black fitting unscrew from the white connector?
I'll try another pic with my phone in a bit.
No, the black elbow won't unscrew from the white connector, it is pressed on.
Thinking about cutting it off just behind the white connector and using some sort of push on fitting that will thread on to the fitting above it.

Gary,
Looking at your last picture.
Coming down from the top fitting.
1/2 inch flex tubing into a 1/2 threaded stub into a 1/2 to 3/8 reducer stub and 3/8 inch hose to the bottom fitting. Less than 4" of each size hose and 4 aircraft clamps plus the reducer. All available any HDWR store.

You may have to use 5/8 hose at the top and 1/2 on the bottom, but you get the idea

Mine just took 1/2" when I replaced my pump.

Redneck engineering.

Order the one you posted from Amazon. The one picture shows the cone washer is in it.

That fitting is A-PEX expansion fitting. If you want to replace just that fitting
amazon has them but you will need an expansion tool also. Crimp fittings will
not work.

There is not enough length on the tube to replace just that fitting with a new expansion fitting. Would have to go past the low point drain Tee, cut past it and replace from there forward.

Apparently that fitting is for Sharkbite PEX tubing only.

I'm gonna take some pictures over to a RV repair place here and see what they say. Guy there said they work on PEX A plumbing.

Back in my plumbing days I had the tool for this piping. I think it was called "wirsbo" now Uponor. First, find a plumber that has the tool. Most are using PEX so finding the tool may be difficult.

Thanks for the update. Good to know that you can crimp PEX A.

Yup
Actually one of two ways. Solid bands that get compressed and the type shown that get pinched to tighten them. The tools and the rings are different. Those shown easier to remove w/o damaging the tube.

Here is a solution

I had the exact same problem last week! First photo shows the broken part. Nobody near me, including a plumbing supply co., had a replacement. And I don't have the obscenely expensive PEX-A expansion tool. BUT I found a trailer/RV parts place who were able to sell me parts to make a right angle compression fitting which fit exactly, after I cut off the old piece with a utility knife. The parts are shown in the next two photos. Cost about 11 bucks w/tax. (Sorry the photos are sideways)

Here's the source:
Illinois Mobile Home & RV Supply
3020 W 147th Street
Posen, IL 60469
708-389-6200

The part numbers are 776, 790, 922.
Hope this helps.
