How do you dispose of fluid after maintenance?

How do you dispose of fluid after maintenance? Oil is no problem, but transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering, antifreeze, every where I go no, no, no. We sell it, but sorry, can't help you with what to do with the old fluid.

I believe around here Pep Boys takes it. I know on oil and anti-freeze they do.

Power steering fluid, and transmission fluid should be accepted wherever you dispose of your engine oil, since they are essentially just 10 weight oil.

Walmart, Advance, Auto Zone all told me they took oil only (required from the vendor who picks it up). The Pep Boys in my area closed but I did a search and found one not to far away and the person I spoke to on the phone seemed to have no problem with taking it. So I guess I will start shopping with Pep Boys.
Thanks for the replys

The county recycle center here would not take antifreeze. I did get a suggestion of Pep Boys called them and the individual I spoke with stated they would take. So I guess I will start doing business with them. Should keep the neighbors happy. Thanks for replys.

Waste Management in our town takes it in clear plastic gallon containers with properly labeled stickers. Try your local waste haulers

I guess it depends on what state you reside in. Here in Florida the county dump will take any fluids from a vehicle that should not be put in the ground. Antifreeze, brake fluid and even old paint.

If I remember the last time I bought a drain pan from Walmart it had a sticker with an 800 number for disposal sites. Or call your local EPA office.

450donn....not true....that must be a local thing for your area. Oil can be sold in MO without having the ability to take used oil

contact your local fire dept. they should know where the nearest recycle place is for all of these lubes you are trying to get rid of.
