Yup - the switch by the door is the Salesman's switch - you can ignore that for the rest of your ownership. Just remember it in case someone else might turn it off and you lose 12 to all your stuff (thermostats, some lights, etc. etc.)

Salesman switch is NOT a true battery disconnect. You need to use the ones in your battery compartment...
