No it isn't low air pressure that causes anything. It is low air pressure that causes high tire heat that causes tire failure.

If you don't have a functioning tpms and you blow a tire, in most cases you are clueless as to the cause. Saying my tires were fine this morning or 2 hours ago are meaningless.
