So - can you buy an RV from a local dealer and take delivery from the factory? That seems ideal - just like what European auto mfg will offer on new cars. Then they should deduct the delivery fee from the sales price which one can use for the mini-vacation to your home.

Ours had about 2,200 miles on it and the factory is 2,100 miles away. Turns out the delivery driver drove it to a family gathering, where he ran into a branch, then to the dealer who had to repair the "vandalism" the driver reported.
