How much do you watch the front TV above dash?

Sooooo in looking for my used coach I found one that is pretty much exactly what I am looking for except it has NO TV over front dash... the main problem is when we have others with us and all watching movie.. I can see how it would be nice to have.. not sure how often that will even happen.. but.. I hate it doesn't have it!

So, wondering how often do you all use it? Would you miss it if you did not have it?

Our class C had 2 TV's and we decided to remove the TV in the bed area for weight savings. The front TV is over the entrance.

We rarely use the TV, as we tend to camp is remote parks and have only watched one DVD in 3 years. We don't stream video.

Our RV time is to get away from everyday life so we tend to read at night.

In my MH we have a TV that is angled slightly over the drivers seat. My wife lays on the couch on the drivers side and I sit in a euro recliner on the passengers side and we watch the tv from there. We also have a TV in the rear bedroom. So for in the last 7 years we have turned it on Zero times and we may take it out. Our MH is pretty much laid out front to back and the front TV has the best view while sitting up. Same view in the rear, but laying down.

If you really want a TV up front there are flip up mounts that will allow you to add one. We stream TV so it is the same shows we see at home plus netflix and prime.

To answer the OP’s question, the over the dash tv is the choice instead of the televator because our buddies sit on that shelf to look out the window. We’d miss ours if we didn’t have it. We also use the bedroom tv all the time and the one outside only once in a while.

Now I will say this. If we didn’t have the front tv, we would’ve made it work also and our buddies would have nested somewhere else.

No over dash TV

We ordered our coach with the over dash TV delete. Never missed it.

Well, other than the bedroom TV, it's the only one we have, so, use it a lot.

In the Bounder & PC: ditto. In the Phaeton, not so much since we had one on a lift across from the reclining loveseat.

The original layout had a 27" Analog TV above the dash in the center. Over the years I had modified it several times and installed a 43" led earlier this year. I cut down the cabinet so the TV fits flush with the other side cabinets.

TV in that locations works for us. I normally sit at the dinette surfing the web with my laptop and watch TV from there.

We use front TV every day. DW sits in recliner by televator and watches front TV. I sit on sofa and watch TV on televator. In previous coach, we had front TV and a TV on wall aft of kitchen. Sitting in dinette, one of watched front TV, the other watched the aft TV. What works for us, may not work for you.

We have a 42” angled in the drivers side front corner on a adjustable swing mount that gets a moderate amount of actual TV use. It usually has music streaming on it during the day. With the opposing jackknife sofas it couldn’t be more comfortable on those occasional movie nights. 180 watt sound bar with subwoofer makes it even better.
She gets the starboard short sofa, I take the long sofa port side. Works well for us, and still leaves sleeping four more as an option. I wouldn’t trade the opposing jackknife sofa arrangement for anything unless it was just us two full timing it without anyone else tagging along. Then the port side dual recliner sofa with opposing televator/fireplace might be a better option, but sleeping comfortably on that all night would be a challenge.
I’ll say this, everyone I know that has the televator arrangement says they wish they had the opposing sofas. It’s all personal preference.
We also have a small 28” in the bedroom. It’s gets minimal use also, but still nice to catch the news/weather in bed on those lazy mornings.

We used to use it a lot when camping with family and our large MH was the go to place for movie night. Most of our traveling time is just the two of us now. We just downsized to a New Aire 3545 with a quite large sofa with footstools and the passenger seat with a footrest right across from a 50" televator TV that we believe will work just fine.

How you use your coach and how much you entertain and need to use all available seating, or not, will make a difference in how your seating and TV situation works for you.
