If you want a really large screen, another option would be to mount a pull down (or motorized) projector screen at the front of the coach, and hang a projector from the ceiling. Head room could be a problem, but you can have pretty much as big a screen as you like If you get a projector with good keystone correction you could mount if off to the side a bit for more headroom. High quality 1080p projectors are relatively affordable these days.

No, it's directly above the driver, kind of behind a little. But again, to clarify, I don't care about seeing it from the driver's seat, I want my son and wife to be able to see it from the dining area while I'm driving.

Would I be able to have the screen down while driving without blocking my view?

Depends where you mount the projector screen, you could mount it so it drops behind the drivers seat.

I did a walkthrough of bus conversion that had this setup, I dug through some old pics to see if I could find it, but I don't think I have any pictures of it -- I didn't see the thing in operation, just saw the screen and projector. His projector was kind of recessed into the ceiling so it didn't affect walking clearance much.

If I were to mount a TV bracket to the inside of the cabinet, like running some wood bracing around and essentially installing the TV to the cabinets, what weight range is safe?

My 40 inch must weigh around 15pds or more. I think they are lighter now. Never have had any problems with the crossbrace I installed.

I have a 43" and a 50. Looking at the logistics, the 50 would be awesome and easily seen from around the entire front of the coach. Just wondering if the logistics of it will be okay if I can brace the cabinet enough.

20/15 vision, basically hard to see from the dinning area. Are you serious, do everyone and yourself a favor and stay out of the driver's seat.

Why would I do that? The windows are the best screen, approx 140".

Seriously, I like playing video games with my son sometimes. Split screen on a 19" is rough normally even a few feet from it. From our couch it's about 10'. You just can't play a game in a 9" diagonal area from that far away, let alone 15'-20' to dining room.

Buy a deck of cards and forgot about the TV and games. It will be much better for everyone. Play games that make you think and count. Crib is a great starter.

What now? Stop doing what I like and do what you like instead? Weird. I never liked cards back before Pong even. I'm hip to split screen gaming on too small of a TV. I don't even really like doing it on our 55" 4K screen.

I suppose I could ditch the TV all together, but my wife really enjoys tv and she makes use of it while I'm out riding dirt bikes with my son. It would be tough to convince her to sit in the RV for 8 hours playing solitaire since she isn't into dirt bikes.

I mean, we are going down a rabbit hole here. Bottom line, anyone know how I can find out how I can figure out the weight capacity of my cabinet assembly before testing it with the actual load?

If you had a CRT TV before, and are replacing it with a LED TV, the sky is probably the limit. Those CRTs are heavy!

It's just a matter of building a strong enough frame to hold the mount. 2X2, or if you really want to go crazy, 2X3 will hold a lot. But some nice oak, and go for it.

I used 2 pieces of 2 x 4 and screwed them into the sides for a good mount and then 2 pieces of 1/2" pine across and feel like I can hang from it
