How to move tank sensors?

The sensors on my tanks work fine, but they are very poorly placed on the tanks.
For instance when the gray tank reads as full it is really only 2/3 full.
Is there a way to remove them from the tank and stick them to a different location on the tank?
I haven't actually TRIED yet, but I suspect that removing them won't be that much of a problem. My main concern is what to use to stick them back onto the tank that won't interfere with function.
I have to assume that at some point someone has had one of these come loose, what was used to stick it back on?

These are the sensors on the tank.

Those obviously just have some sort of double sided tape, but I don't know if it's 'special' in some way or not.

It's been a while since one of my sensors fell off , and I can't remember if I peeled the two sided tape off and replaced it , or applied glue and used foil tape to locate the sensor while the glue dried; ; but it's worked fine since the repair.

I know , not the kind of help you were hoping for, what I am sure of is that to prevent further issues , I put foil tape over all the sensors , so I wouldn't be having to access them again; any time soon anyway.

Thanks Skip.
Does the foil tape just make DARNED sure that those sensors never come loose again, or is there some other purpose for it?

That was my hope when I installed the tape . Not to have to go in again.
As removing the peg board that blocked access to them , requires moving about 50# of my hanging tools , then about 40 screws on the peg board.

Looks like the sensors on Amazon are attached with 3M VHB (very high bond) tape. You can purchase 3M VHB at most auto parts stores. Its a 2 sided tape that sticks very well to a clean surface.

Thanks Chuck!
I'll see if I can lay my hands on some of that this weekend.
